Ingredients for Air-Fried White BBQ Wings

Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are such a wonder! They make a delicious snack or meal and they’re typically more affordable than more sought-after cuts of chicken like the breast.

For this recipe use fresh chicken wings or frozen, but if opting for frozen be sure to fully thaw the wings before using them in the recipe.

Salt and Pepper

Although simple, salt and pepper are the key seasonings for these tantalizing chicken wings. The pepper adds a wonderfully punchy bite to the barbeque and the salt rounds out this finger-licking flavor!

Using fresh cracked black pepper or regular ground pepper and kosher fine sea salt is excellent for this recipe.

White Barbecue Sauce

Some people call this tasty ingredient “Alabama BBQ” or “Alabama White Sauce,” but by any name, this sauce is tempting and spicy. It’s a mayonnaise-based barbeque that uses vinegar and spices to make a flavor that is equally spicy and smooth!

Look for this sauce in the store near the traditional barbeque sauces and dressings or make your own. If you are observing a low-sugar or keto diet, opt for a sugar-free variety of this delicious sauce.

Expert Tips and Tricks

  • Don’t skip the preheat. Having the air fryer at temperature helps the wings crisp evenly and quickly.
  • Whisk together the salt and pepper before coating the wings; be sure to get the seasonings on every bit of the wings’ surface.
  • Fill the bowl with the white sauce then add the wings. Toss the bowl away from your body and catch the wings. This will give them a nice even coating.
  • While the wings cook, slice some fresh raw veggies to pair with these delicious wings.

How to Serve This Air-Fried White BBQ Wings

One trick to calming the flame these wings cause in your mouth is a perfect dipping sauce. Mix up a homemade ranch or keep it classic with some blue cheese dressing. Match the heat of these Air-Fried White BBQ Wings with the freshness of raw carrots and celery.

Make these wings on a weeknight or as an easy-to-prepare party snack! Have plenty of napkins and dipping sauce available and these White BBQ Wings will make any occasion a firefly fantasy!

How to Store and Reheat Air-Fried White BBQ Wings

Allow the wings to cool completely and then move them to an airtight container. Store them in the refrigerator for up to four days.

You can even freeze extras of these delicious White Wings. Place them in a freezer-safe bag and press out all the air. Freeze them for up to 6 months and thaw them overnight in the fridge before reheating.

To reheat the wings, try the air fryer! Preheat the air fryer to 360°F and add the desired amount of wings in a single layer. Heat the wings for about 5 minutes or until warm throughout.

Alternatively, reheat them in the oven at 350°F for about 15 minutes or in the microwave for up to 2 minutes.

Are Air-Fried White BBQ Wings Healthy?

Air frying is an amazing option to cut the fat in all your favorite recipes. It uses way less oil or fat than traditional frying or roasting methods but still delivers a big crunch.

Overall, these wings are a great way to get some protein, but they need some veggies or grains to make them a fully nutritious meal.
